Exclusive to Highgrove, this gorgeous hand-enamelled sterling silver pendant features an intricate dahlia design with pink and red engravings. Inspired by the dahlias often found dotted around Highgrove Gardens in terracotta pots, it is a beautiful statement piece and serves as a reminder of the profusion of colour they create in the gardens.
Each pendant is handmade using the traditional art of vitreous enamelling, where thin layers of glass are fused at a high temperature onto the surface of the metal to create a unique piece. The Dahlia design is based on the geometric 'Fibonacci' sequence of the flower itself. The design is engraved underneath the enamel using the basse-taille technique to create different depths of colour.
A symbol of a lasting bond and commitment, this dahlia pendant is suspended from a sterling silver chain and comes in one size. It will make a fabulous gift for the lady in your life, as it comes beautifully wrapped and in a gift box.
This necklace is handmade in the UK and crafted by jewellery maker Fiona Rae, who started her career with a grant from the Prince's Trust.
